Saudi Scholarship Students Excel in Science, Engineering, and Medicine in the US

Washington, November 19, 2025, SPA -- Saudi students sponsored by the scholarship program in the United States achieved notable scientific and research milestones in 2025, reflecting the Kingdom's investment in human capital through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program and the presence of national talent in prestigious universities and research centers.
A report by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission to the US highlighted 17 significant achievements, including patents, top rankings in American professional exams, and various research, teaching, and leadership awards. Specialization included cancer treatment, internal medicine, physics, astronomy, engineering, and cybersecurity.
In the medical field, several Saudi students registered patents with the US Patent and Trademark Office for cancer treatment technologies and environmentally friendly materials, and published peer-reviewed research. Notably, one Saudi physician achieved a nationwide top ranking in the annual internal medicine In-Training Exam, scoring in the 100th percentile for the first time at his university.
Students received professional honors from the National Society of Leadership and Success and the Dean’s Leadership Award. They also earned honorary membership in the Lambda Beta Society (Respiratory Therapy), highlighting their leadership and academic excellence.
In medical education, students received certificates of appreciation from the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute for their active participation in training medical students.
In engineering and technology, scholarship students participated in international conferences, including the 2025 LearnXDesign conference at the University of Aveiro in Portugal, where their research was accepted for publication. Additionally, a mechanical engineering postgraduate student won the Best Scientific Poster award at the 2025 annual conference of the American Society for Engineering Education in Montreal.
In cybersecurity, a Saudi female student’s research project won the Best Presentation Award at a leading conference and the Best Technical Poster Award at another, demonstrating the competitiveness of Saudi talent in this crucial sector.
