Veteran Falconer Presents His 28th Bird at Saudi Falcons Club Auction

Riyadh, November 13, 2025, SPA -- A veteran Saudi falconer presented his 28th bird in a career spanning nearly three decades, offering it for bidding at the Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2025, organized at the club’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh. The event coincides with the Kingdom’s annual falcon capturing season, running from October 1 to November 30.
Sharing the story behind his latest catch, the falconer said his experience is rooted in patience and wisdom. He noted that he observed the falcon’s movements for two consecutive days after he first spotted it before safely capturing the bird.
He noted that the falcon, a Shaheen caught in Qassim Region, measured 15 inches in length, 15.25 inches in width, and weighed 930 grams. It was showcased on the 24th night of the Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2025, where bidding started at SAR40,000 and concluded at SAR80,000.
The Saudi Falcons Club provides a range of services and facilities for falconers, including transport, accommodation, and sales documentation, in addition to live broadcasting of the auction on television and social-media platforms, supporting falconry as a cultural heritage and an economic and social activity.
