Under patronage of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain Bourse to host "The Market 2.0" conference on digital transformation in capital markets

Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain Bourse, in collaboration with the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM), will host "The Market 2.0" conference on November 20 under the theme "Disruptive Digital Transformation in Capital Markets".
The conference will serve as a platform to explore how technological advancements are reshaping capital markets and enhancing their efficiency, inclusivity, and sustainability.
More than 300 participants and 18 expert speakers representing exchanges, financial market regulators, brokerage firms, financial institutions, and global technology providers are expected to attend. The programme will include discussions on advancing market depth, liquidity, and the global competitiveness of Bahrain’s capital markets, in addition to examining innovation enablers such as regulatory sandboxes.
The event will open with a keynote address by Yusef Al Yusef, Chairman of Bahrain Bourse, and will feature panel discussions with experts from local, regional, and international markets. The first panel will focus on strategies to enhance Bahrain’s capital market ecosystem, with insights from Khalid Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain. The second will address emerging technologies and include CEOs of regional stock exchanges sharing perspectives on the future of financial market innovation.
Al Yusef expressed appreciation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his kind patronage, noting that it reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the capital markets sector and its contribution to the national economy. He added that the conference aligns with the goals of sustainable economic development and Bahrain’s Vision 2030.
He emphasised that Bahrain’s hosting of the conference underscores its leading position in the capital markets sector and its role in fostering regional and international dialogue to enhance legislative and regulatory frameworks, exchange expertise, and promote a sustainable investment environment.

He said the Market 2.0 conference provides an opportunity to move discussions from concept to action, positioning markets for sustainable growth and global relevance.
