HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim congratulates Dr. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid on Arab Olympic Union appointment

Manama, Nov. 9 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), sent a cable of congratulations to Dr. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, SCW member, Bahrain Olympic Committee Board member, and Chairperson of the Committee on Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance in Sports, on her appointment as Vice President of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, representing women.

HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim said the appointment adds to the record of achievements of Bahraini women, who continue to represent the Kingdom of Bahrain with excellence under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim commended Dr. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid’s efforts in promoting women’s sports and her contributions to advancing Bahrain’s presence in regional and international sporting forums.
