Ambassador to US participates in Washington Prosperity Summit

Manama, Nov. 9 (BNA): Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United States of America, participated in the Washington Prosperity Summit.

 

The Summit was organised by the Polaris National Security Foundation in partnership with the N7 Foundation, with the participation of a group of members of the current US administration, legislators from the Republican and Democratic parties, foreign officials, and senior business executives from the United States and the Middle East.

 

During the dialogue session on enhancing defense cooperation, the Ambassador affirmed Bahrain's commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region and international cooperation, as well as its role as a reliable regional partner. He noted the close relations between Bahrain and the US across various fields of cooperation, particularly in defense, security, the economy, and technology, in addition to ongoing coordination in supporting regional and international efforts to achieve security and peace and promote shared prosperity.

 

Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid also pointed to the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) as a significant milestone in Bahraini-American relations, aimed at strengthening cooperation in defense, economic resilience, and technological advancement. He added that the United Kingdom's accession to the agreement reflects the depth and expansion of strategic alliances within a comprehensive vision to enhance security and stability in the region.

 

The session included participation from Senator Joni Ernst, a member of the U.S. Senate, and Joe Musselman, founder of Bravo Victor Ventur Capital, and was moderated by Ambassador Nathan Sales, former U.S. Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights and Distinguished Fellow for Middle East Programs at the Atlantic Council.
