Bahrain welcomes ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia brokered by US

Manama, Oct. 26 (BNA):  The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the signing of the ceasefire agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia, held under the mediation of President Donald Trump of the United States of America, on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasised that the Kingdom views this development as an important step toward protecting civilian lives and achieving lasting peace.  It added that it reflected the shared commitment of the two countries to promoting stability, regional cooperation, and prosperity, in accordance with international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the principles and objectives of ASEAN.
