HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad attends Bahrain’s gold medal success in mixed martial arts at 3rd Asian Youth Games

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), attended the mixed martial arts (MMA) finals held at Exhibition World Bahrain as part of the 3rd Asian Youth Games, hosted by the Kingdom until October 31 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Bahrain’s national MMA team won three gold medals, with Eldar Eldarov winning the 60kg category, Abdulakim Babaev winning gold in the 65kg event, and Ibragim Khalidov winning in the 70kg division.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the athletes for their strong performances and expressed pride in their achievement, noting that the results reflect the continued progress of Bahraini sports and the development of national talent in combat disciplines.

His Highness underscored the importance of building on these accomplishments and emphasised his support for athletes as they continue to pursue success in future regional and international competitions.
