Flower Baskets Laid before Friendship Tower and Cemeteries of CPV Fallen Soldiers
Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Flower baskets were placed at the Friendship Tower on October 25 on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' entry into the Korean front.
The guard of honor of the Korean People's Army lined up at the tower.
Present there were Kim Song Nam, director of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials concerned.
Also on hand were Wang Yajun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, his embassy officials, the delegation of CPV veterans and its fallen soldiers' families on a visit to the DPRK, Chinese guests staying here, and Chinese students and residents in the DPRK.
The national anthems of the People's Republic of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were played.
Laid were the flower baskets in the name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the DPRK Cabinet and the flower baskets in the name of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council of the PRC, the Central Military Commission of the CPC and the Central Military Commission of the PRC.
The participants paid silent tribute to the memory of the CPV fallen soldiers before looking round the tower.
Flower baskets were also placed at the cemeteries of the CPV fallen soldiers in Anju City and Hoechang County in South Phyongan Province, Kaesong Municipality, Hyongjesan District of Pyongyang Municipality and Onsong County of North Hamgyong Province. -0-
