Chairman of SPA Standing Committee Inspects Some Units in South Phyongan Province

 Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected various sectors of South Phyongan Province.
Choe Ryong Hae visited the Pit No. 5 at the Inpho Youth Coal Mine of the Pukchang Area Youth Coal-mining Complex, where he stressed the importance of coal production in developing the country's economy and improving the people's standard of living, calling upon officials and workers to wage a vigorous struggle for increased production with great patriotic enthusiasm and thus to attain this year's goal of coal production set forth by the Party without fail.
He also called for giving priority to tunneling as required by the Party's policy to create new coalfields, and for actively introducing advanced coal-mining methods and steadily increasing the capacity for carrying coal.
At the township farm in Unsan County, he called for effectively pushing ahead with the immediate farm work, including threshing, so as to conclude farming well, and for making steady preparations for next year's farming on the basis of this year's farming experience.
He underlined the need to actively apply advanced farming methods and methods of raising domestic animals under the uplifted banner of scientific farming and animal husbandry, to continue direct big efforts to increasing the proportion of the farm work done by machines, and to further consolidate the material and technical foundations of the farm.
At the Unsan Prospecting Machine Factory, Choe Ryong Hae stressed the need for its officials to hold fast to science and technology, to organize and direct production, and to improve the technical knowledge and skills of the employees so as to produce the quality prospecting machines, and he discussed the ways of doing so and took the necessary measures. -0-
