Interior Minister Discusses With the Spanish Ambassador Enhancing Joint Cooperation in the Security and Police Fields

Baghdad /NINA/- Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari discussed with the Spanish Ambassador to Iraq, Alicia Rico Perez del Pulgar, ways to enhance joint cooperation in the security and police fields.

A statement from the Ministry of Interior stated: "Al-Shammari met with the Spanish Ambassador today, Wednesday. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the security and police fields and exchange of expertise. They also discussed issues related to personnel training, police capacity development, and combating organized crime and terrorism."

According to the statement, the Interior Minister affirmed the ministry's keenness to develop bilateral relations and openness to international experiences, to serve the interests of the two friendly countries.

For her part, the Spanish Ambassador expressed her high appreciation for the role of the Ministry of Interior in consolidating security and stability in Iraq, stressing her country's keenness to maintain constant communication and develop bilateral cooperation. /End
