Manama, Sep. 17 (BNA): Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, received the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) joint security team, comprising members of the Coast Guard and Border Guard commands of the GCC Interior Ministries and the GCC Secretariat General, during their visit to the Bahrain Coast Guard. The Acting Coast Guard Commander attended.

The Chief of Public Security highlighted that the visit reflects the directives of the GCC Interior Ministers to strengthen security cooperation, exchange expertise, and support joint efforts to protect regional and maritime borders.

He emphasised that the security of GCC borders is indivisible, underlining the importance of continued coordination among Gulf security authorities and the effectiveness of joint drills in enhancing readiness, unifying concepts, and raising operational efficiency.

Lieutenant General Al Hassan highlighted that such meetings promote operational coordination and deepen cooperation and integration, supporting security, stability, and prosperity for GCC states and their peoples.

The delegation toured Coast Guard facilities, where they reviewed advanced infrastructure, systems, and technologies that enhance monitoring, surveillance, and rapid response capabilities.
