Thai PM Meets with Business Leaders to Address Economic Woes

BANGKOK, Sept 18 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his economic team met with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand to discuss the country's economic challenges.
The meeting, which included the designated cabinet members, focused on seven key proposals from the business community to revive the economy.
The Prime Minister confirmed he has already submitted the new cabinet list for royal endorsement. He stated that once the new cabinet is approved, the government will quickly begin its work and focus on a rapid economic recovery within its four-month term.
Poj Aramwattananont, chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, presented proposals covering areas such as boosting investor confidence, increasing access to funding, reducing the cost of living, and promoting trade and tourism.
Anutin also addressed the border situation with Cambodia, confirming that he had instructed the army to handle recent disturbances and that border crossings would remain closed. He pledged to protect national interests. -819 (TNA)
