Bahrain welcomes roadmap agreed upon by Syria, Jordan, US to resolve Suwayda crisis

Manama, Sep. 17 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomes Syria’s announcement of the roadmap agreed upon by Syria, Jordan, and the US to address the crisis in Al Suwayda Governorate in southern Syria, viewing it as an important step that contributes to consolidating civil peace and supporting security and stability in the region.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Bahrain’s strong and consistent support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Syria. It also expressed Bahrain’s backing of regional and international efforts aimed at promoting security and peace in the region, and fulfilling the aspirations of the Syrian people for stability and sustainable development under the rule of law and state institutions.
