Work to Put Fish Farming on Scientific and Intensive Basis Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- The Sohung Poman Fish Farm in the DPRK has made achievements in putting fish farming on a scientific and intensive basis.
True to the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea to develop fish farming to supply large quantities of fish to the people, the officials and employees of the farm increased catfish production by putting fish farming on a scientific basis and strengthening its material and technical foundations.
They applied the scientific feeding methods according to the growth stage in order to raise the weight ratio and immune functions of catfish and improve its quality and increased the output and lowered the standard of cost consumption by establishing the system for supplying protein feed including Hermetia illucens and mud snail. 
They took measures to ensure the water temperature and dissolved oxygen content suitable for fish ponds.
The workers of the farm produced large quantities of catfish and sent them to the inhabitants of Sariwon City. -0-
