Al-Sudani Discusses Bilateral Relations And Developments In The Region With The British Ambassador

Baghdad / NINA / -Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met on Sunday with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and London.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said the two sides reviewed prospects for enhancing cooperation across various fields, particularly in the economic, investment, and development sectors, in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries.

The meeting also addressed recent regional developments. Al-Sudani stressed the importance of working to end the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip and ensuring the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians. He further underlined the need to respect state sovereignty and international law, while rejecting the aggressions carried out by the occupying forces, the latest of which targeted the State of Qatar./ End
