Museums Commission to Launch First Phase of ‘Our Saudi Story’ Exhibition in Qassim at Buraidah Dates Carnival

Buraidah, August 21, 2025, SPA -- The Museums Commission is scheduled to inaugurate the first phase of the traveling interactive exhibition “Our Saudi Story: A Window on Museums” in September, which will be held in Buraidah, Qassim, from September 1 to 13.
The exhibition offers visitors an immersive visual and auditory journey through motion design techniques and sensory sound effects. It will be open to the public free of charge, showcasing 11 carefully selected artifacts from Saudi regional museums, digitally reinterpreted and presented in a way that blends authenticity with innovation.
Coinciding with its first stop, the exhibition will be held alongside the Buraidah Dates Carnival, recognized by the Guinness World Records as the world’s largest event for showcasing and marketing dates. The carnival combines commercial diversity with economic vitality and serves as a famous platform celebrating a traditional Saudi product deeply rooted in cultural memory and the agricultural identity of the region.
Following Qassim, the exhibition will travel to Najran, Jeddah, and Riyadh, offering in each city a unique experience that highlights the richness of regional museums.
