Saudi Falcon Club CEO: Auction Strengthens Kingdom's Position as a Global Center for Falconry

Riyadh, August 21, 2025, SPA -- Saudi Falcons Club CEO Talal AlShamaisi affirmed that the International Falcon Breeders Auction 2025, organized by the club until August 25, marks a significant milestone in global falconry, driven by this year’s notable developments.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), AlShamaisi highlighted the leadership’s support for falconry heritage, under the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and general supervisor of the Saudi Falcons Club, and the close follow-up of Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Falcons Club Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.
He noted that, for the first time, daily sales announcements were made public during the auction, enhancing transparency and providing valuable information to buyers, falconers, and investors. Participation also expanded this year with a notable increase in the number of farms, including new international entries, reflecting the auction’s success in creating a trusted global marketplace for falconry.
AlShamaisi added that the club has transformed falconry’s passion and heritage into an economic driver that supports the national economy. By bringing together elite producers from the Kingdom and abroad, the auction provides a safe, competitive, and stimulating environment for buying and selling falcons, further solidifying the Kingdom’s role as an international hub for falconry.
He explained that the auction fosters opportunities for deals between local and international falconers, facilitates knowledge exchange among producers, and encourages the establishment of specialized falcon breeding and training farms. It also paves the way for investment projects linked to falconry, while contributing to the preservation and promotion of this cultural heritage for future generations, ensuring its role as a sustainable economic resource for the Kingdom.
