Bahrain participates in regional Scout and Guide Leaders’ Forum

Muscat, Aug. 11 (BNA): A delegation from Bahrain’s Parliamentary Division, led by MP Mohamed Jassem Al Alaiwi, is participating in the Second Arab Forum for Scout and Guide Pioneers and the 17th General Assembly of the Arab Parliamentary Scout Union, held in Oman on August 8-14.

Al Alaiwi said the participation reflects Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening parliamentary diplomacy, supporting Arab youth, and advancing scouting as a platform for character-building and national development, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He highlighted Bahrain’s integration of scouting values into sustainable development programmes and called for harnessing digital tools to expand scouting’s reach, including partnerships with technology and education institutions to combine traditional skills with modern competencies. The forum will review reports, sign cooperation agreements, and coordinate upcoming regional scouting events.
