Karbala Governor Discusses Arbaeen Preparations with Senior Iranian Delegation

Karbala /NINA/- The Governor of Karbala, Nassif Jassem Al-Khattabi, held a meeting with Ali Akbar Pour Jamshidian, Deputy Minister of Interior for Security Affairs in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Head of the Central Committee for Arbaeen Pilgrimage, to discuss ongoing preparations for the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage.

 

The meeting was attended by Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadiq, and the Iranian Consul in Karbala, Abdolrahim Sadati. Discussions focused on strengthening coordination to ensure smooth logistics and comprehensive services for pilgrims.

 

Governor Al-Khattabi affirmed that Karbala, with all its security and service departments, has completed its preparations to receive millions of pilgrims from Iran, other countries, and across Iraq for the blessed Arbaeen pilgrimage.

 

For his part, the Iranian Deputy Minister praised the warm reception and high level of organization witnessed annually during the Arbaeen pilgrimage. He expressed appreciation for the efforts of the local government and the people of Karbala in serving pilgrims, emphasizing that such joint cooperation reflects the deep ties between the Iraqi and Iranian peoples and their shared commitment to commemorating the Arbaeen occasion./ End
