Bahrain Film Festival unveils new visual identity ahead of fifth edition

Manama, July 26 (BNA): The Bahrain Film Festival has announced the launch of its new visual identity in preparation for its fifth edition, scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 4, 2025, under the theme “Short Films Great Stories”. The festival is organised by the Bahrain Cinema Club in partnership with the Ministry of Information.
Festival Director Ammar Zainal said that the new theme reflects a focus on the depth of storytelling, with each design element highlighting the festival’s narrative driven approach.
He noted that the festival aims to emphasise the idea that every seat holds a story, and every shadow awaits light to reveal its beauty, underscoring the value of short films as vessels for powerful and meaningful stories.
Zainal added that the new identity is inspired by the human spirit at the heart of cinema, portraying the cultural depth and historical roots of society, and highlighting how each cinematic experience can tell stories that resonate emotionally and reflect Bahrain’s rich cultural identity.
The festival closed submissions for its official competition on July 20. The competition includes five categories: short narrative films, short documentary films, short animated films, student films, and Bahraini short films.
Now in its fifth edition, the Bahrain Film Festival is positioning itself as a platform for advancing cinematic arts and fostering cultural dialogue in the Arab world. It aims to showcase unique creative experiences and works that exceed expectations, emphasising its commitment to inspiring human storytelling.
