BNA participates in SCO Media and Think Tank Summit

Zhengzhou, July 25 (BNA): The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) participated today in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Media and Think Tank Summit, held in Zhengzhou, in China.
The forum is organised by Xinhua News Agency, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Henan Provincial Government, with around 400 participants from 26 countries, including media professionals, policy experts, government representatives, and regional and international organisations.
The forum was held under the theme “Upholding the 'Shanghai Spirit' to Build a More Beautiful Home,”. It focused on the importance of shared values and cooperation in shaping the media landscape. Discussions focused on the impact of digital transformation on journalism and the critical role of media and think tanks in advancing stability and sustainable development across the region.
Abdullah Khalil Buhejji, BNA Director General, represented BNA and attended the forum at the invitation of Xinhua News Agency.
BNA’s participation reflects Bahrain’s role as a dialogue partner in the organisation since 2023, an affirmation of the Kingdom’s stance on regional and international affairs, built on principles of balance, responsibility, and constructive engagement.
BNA’s participation also forms part of its broader commitment to international media dialogue and collaboration. It underscores the agency’s efforts to strengthen Bahrain’s presence on the global media stage, contribute to international conversations around communication and strategy, and build partnerships that reflect Bahrain’s progress and promote mutual understanding between cultures.
