Iron-willed Brilliant Commander Hastens Victory in War with Powerful Strike Operations

 Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung thoroughly smashed the reckless moves of the U.S. imperialists and hastened victory in the war with 3 rounds of powerful strike operations in the 4th stage period of the Fatherland Liberation War.
In 1953, when the "New Offensive" the U.S. imperialists had prepared as last hope ended in total failure, they were making last-ditch efforts dreaming of "Honorable Armistice."
On the basis of analyzing the prevailing situation, the President advanced an operational policy for hastening the final victory in the war by tightening the enemies' windpipes through powerful strike operations.
According to his operational policy, the service personnel dealt a powerful blow to the enemy on May 13 on the whole of the front.
The enemy suffered a great loss through the first strike of the People's Army in nearly 10 days.
After analyzing the situation on the front, the President organized the second strike from May 27 without delay and set the time and target area of the strike.
Even after the two strike operations of the Korean People's Army units, the enemy laid obstacles to the armistice talks.
To cope with this, the President organized the third powerful strike from July 13.
Through the strike operation, the combined units of the KPA killed and captured more than 78 000 enemy soldiers and liberated a large area of 160 square kilometers.
Under the wise leadership of the President, the purpose of the third strike was also successfully realized.
On July 27, the U.S. imperialists, in a tight corner and unable to find any other way out, were forced to sign the armistice agreement at last which they had delayed for 24 months and 17 days.
As such, the President led the three powerful strike operations to victory, mercilessly smashing the reckless attempt of the U.S. imperialists and concluding the war with brilliant victory. -0-
