Health Minister receives Ta'ayush Society Chairman

Manama, July 22 (BNA): Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, received Yousef Mohammad Bozboun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Coexistence of Religions (Ta'ayush), along with members of the Association’s board.

The delegation presented her with a copy of the book "In the Presence of the King of Peace," which documents the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in promoting the values of tolerance, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence among religions.

The minister emphasised that, under the leadership of His Majesty the King and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain has established itself as a pioneering model for coexistence and harmony. She highlighted the importance of upholding values of mutual respect, spreading a culture of peace, and enhancing tolerance and dialogue, all of which highlight the Kingdom’s distinguished civilised and humanitarian image in this area.

Dr. Jaleela commended the Association for its role in supporting efforts to entrench the values of coexistence and religious tolerance, appreciating the initiative of publishing the book, which underscores Bahrain’s international standing as an oasis of peace, coexistence, and the dissemination of principles of respect and interfaith tolerance.

The meeting reviewed the Association’s main programmes and initiatives that highlight Bahrain’s efforts in enhancing peace and promoting coexistence among religions and cultures.
