PM, UK Ambassador Discuss Strategic Cooperation Agreement and Gaza Developments

Baghdad / NINA /-Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met today, Sunday, with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations within the framework of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement signed between the two countries. A statement from the Prime Minister’s media office said that “Prime Minister Al-Sudani received Ambassador Irfan Siddiq in Baghdad, where they discussed bilateral relations and opportunities for development across various sectors, based on the Strategic Cooperation Agreement signed during the Prime Minister’s visit to London earlier this year.” The statement added that the meeting also addressed recent regional developments and emphasized the importance of continued joint coordination, especially in light of current challenges. Both sides stressed the need to enhance regional and international efforts to halt the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to its besieged population, and support initiatives aimed at achieving security and stability in the region. /End
