Bahrain’s Ambassador to Russia named Dean of Arab Diplomatic Corps in Moscow

Moscow, July 9 (BNA): The Council of Arab Ambassadors accredited to the Russian Federation has selected Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Russia, as Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in Moscow.
The decision was made during a meeting held at the League’s mission headquarters in Moscow, in recognition of Bahrain’s prominent standing under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The council also highlighted Bahrain’s active role in promoting peace and security in support of sustainable development in the region and globally.
Dr. Walid Hamid Shiltag, Head of the Arab League Mission in Moscow, commended Bahrain’s effective diplomatic efforts, particularly during its presidency of the 33rd Arab Summit hosted in Manama last year, which led to positive outcomes for joint Arab action.
Ambassador Al Saati expressed appreciation to his fellow Arab ambassadors in Moscow for the confidence, underscoring that the selection reflects Bahrain’s balanced and respected foreign policy. He emphasised that it was a testament to Bahrain’s diplomatic approach, rooted in its rich historical and cultural heritage and based on the principles of the UN Charter, international law, and multilateral cooperation built on sovereignty, dialogue, and solidarity in support of global peace and stability.
