Work to Join Ranks of Best Farms Brisk in DPRK
Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- Enthusiasm for joining the ranks of the best farms is growing in different parts of the DPRK.
The Agricultural Commission and other agricultural guidance organs at all levels are conducting the work to generalize the experience gained by the units selected as the 30 best farms for 2024.
The Mangyongdae Vegetable Farm in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang Municipality, provides a guarantee for high yields by putting the paddy rice cultivation on a higher scientific basis and the Jangchon Vegetable Farm in Sadong District, Pyongyang, increases the area of introducing a farming method by mud snails, thus saving much manpower and fertilizer and improving the growth of paddy rice.
Officials and agricultural workers of the Kim Je Won Farm in Jaeryong County and many other farms in South Hwanghae Province reaped unusual bumper crop of wheat and barley and have made doubled efforts to achieve successes in the second crop farming, too.
The Phungjong Farm in Jungsan County, South Phyongan Province, secured nearly one million moulded boards for raising rice seedlings, doubling the area of the introduction of nutritive cold-bed rice seedlings than last period.
The Kachang Farm in Sohung County, North Hwanghae Province and many farms across the country are conducting the work to join the ranks of the best farms. -0-
