Speaker: Ashoora season success highlights Bahrain’s ongoing support for religious freedom

Manama, July 6 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, commended the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in ensuring the smooth and successful organisation of the Ashoora season.

The Speaker noted that Bahrain continues to stand as a model of peaceful coexistence and social unity, grounded in national values, legal frameworks, and mutual respect for religious freedoms. He said that cooperation between citizens and institutions reflects a shared commitment to harmony and responsible religious practice.

Al Musallam also highlighted the importance of national identity and social cohesion in strengthening Bahrain’s traditions of tolerance and inclusivity under the rule of law and wise leadership.

He expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Interior for maintaining public security and supporting the observance of religious rituals in a safe environment.

Al Musallam praised the joint efforts of government bodies, local authorities, and religious establishments, which contributed to a well-managed Ashoora season. He added that their coordination not only ensured public safety and logistical readiness but also demonstrated the strength of community partnership and national solidarity.
