Saudi Delegation Concludes Participation in BIO International Convention with over 17 Agreements

Boston, July 02, 2025, SPA -- The Saudi delegation concluded its participation in the BIO International Convention held in Boston, US, by signing more than 17 memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements with international entities. This took place as part of the Saudi pavilion, led by the Ministry of Health and comprising 25 public and private sector entities, to boost strategic partnerships and enhance the Kingdom’s presence on the global health innovation map.
The participation aligns with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the National Biotechnology Strategy under Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build a “vibrant society” and a “thriving economy” toward a competitive and sustainable future.
The Saudi pavilion, one of the largest international pavilions and the Kingdom’s first participation in the BIO Convention, attracted wide attention, welcoming over 6,000 visitors over four days. It featured a high-level panel discussion and a VIP reception attended by more than 300 executives and decision-makers. The pavilion also saw the launch of the “Biotechnology Accelerator,” involving eight Saudi startup companies.
The delegation also visited several companies in San Francisco and met with representatives from global companies and research institutions. Over 50 meetings were held with international entities to explore cooperation opportunities and exchange expertise in biotechnology and health innovation.
This four-day participation reflects the Kingdom’s rapid progress in biotechnology and its growing international presence as an emerging hub for innovation and advancement in the global health sector.
