Sci-tech Exchange in DPRK

 Pyongyang, July 2 (KCNA) -- Sci-tech exchange was brisk in June amid the daily-increasing role of scientists and technicians in implementing the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
More than 220 valuable proposals conducive to the development of national economy were presented to the technical innovation contest, presentation and symposium held under the sponsorship of various associations and societies of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
At a meeting for reviewing the first-stage national technical innovation contest held under the sponsorship of the Korean Machine-building Industry Association, realistic proposals for introducing machine processing precision and advanced heat treatment method and tens of proposals for establishing the production lines of engine fuel pumps, jets and distributors of tractors were highly appreciated.
Successes and experience gained in developing new technologies in the field of the microbiology including the technology for improving the quality of flour by domestic enzyme were shared and transferred at the national sci-tech presentation and technical innovation contest in the field of microbiology attended by scientists and technicians of more than 10 units including Kim Il Sung University and the Microbiology Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences. 
The Korean Construction Association conducted a question-and-answer session and discussion for finding realistic and reasonable proposals at a symposium on the theme of "Putting the winching and assembling method of heavy structures on a scientific and modern basis". -0-
