Thai DPM Meets U.S. Chamber, Eyes "Win-Win" Economic Ties

WASHINGTON, D.C. July 2 (TNA) - Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira met with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce today, emphasizing a commitment to "win-win" trade agreements and long-term partnership with the United States.

On his inaugural U.S. visit, Pichai led a delegation in discussions with senior U.S. business representatives, including Charles Freeman, the Chamber's Senior Vice President for Asia. The talks focused on resolving investment challenges under U.S. tax policies and mitigating business obstacles to boost Thailand's investment appeal.

Pichai reiterated Thailand's full dedication to ongoing trade negotiations, seeking mutually beneficial outcomes for both nations. He thanked the U.S. Chamber for its consistent support as a dialogue platform and an advocate for Thailand's importance in the global economic supply chain.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed the Thai government's commitment to policies promoting trade and investment while maintaining a transparent, friendly, and predictable business environment.
