Saudi Arabia Discusses GCC Food Security Strategy during Kuwait Meeting

   Kuwait, June 17, 2025, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presented its vision for food security strategy across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states during an extraordinary meeting of the GCC Undersecretaries of Agriculture and Food Security Committee held on Monday in Kuwait.
   The meeting, chaired by Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the GCC General Secretariat Khalid Ali Al-Sunaidi brought together senior agriculture and food security officials from member states.
   Head of the Saudi delegation and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Ayada commended the collective efforts by GCC members to develop a comprehensive food security strategy and outline its key directions.
   Food security remains a top priority for GCC leaders and is closely followed by ministers and officials in member states. Its implementation involves coordination among government entities, the private sector, and civil society.
