Preparation for Operation of Large-scale Greenhouse Farm Propelled in North Phyongan Province

 Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province in the DPRK has pushed ahead with the preparations for the operation of the large-scale greenhouse farm under construction in the areas of Hadan-ri in Sinuiju City and Soho-ri in Uiju County.
While conducting the work for passing-on skills to improve the level of practice of the officials and employees who will take charge of the management and operation of the large-scale greenhouse farm, it is strengthening the technical forces by its own efforts in various forms and methods.
The province has secured quality organic manure, saplings and flower shrubs necessary for increasing the fertility of soil, landscaping and creating shelter belts and provided sprayers and other farm materials.
It has put the cultivation of hundreds of thousands of good species of fruit saplings on a scientific and technological basis and produced pyroligneous acid to promote their growth.
The Ragwon General Machine Enterprise, the Sinuiju Spinning Machine Plant and the Sinuiju Mining Machine Factory are pooling their efforts and wisdom to manufacture equipment necessary for the construction, management and operation of the greenhouse.
Agricultural workers of the Sonsang and Hyangbong farms of the provincial rural economy committee are striving to secure high-yielding seeds and cultivate healthy vegetable seedlings. -0-
