DPRK Scientists and Technicians Strive to Develop Regional Industry
Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- Members of the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians are conducting proactive scientific researches, true to the Regional Development 20×10 Policy of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The members of the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians of the Food and Consumer Goods Research Institute under the Ministry of Regional Industry have intensified the researches to improve the taste and quality of wheat paste, thus making innovations in the selection of germs with high decomposition activity and the establishment of culture processes. And they have completed the manufacturing method for strengthening the gluten strength of wheat flour and provided a technical guarantee for producing gluten-reinforcing agents in an industrial way.
A research group of Kim Il Sung University has made progress in the researches to develop the main raw materials of grape aroma and further complete the oil refining technology by alkaline hydrogen peroxide.
In Songchon and Jaeryong counties, scientists of Han Tok Su University of Light Industry have solved the knotty problems arising in the production of drinks from wild fruits, thus increasing the expiration date of products and ensuring their hygienic safety.
Teachers of Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce have put efforts into optimizing the production at garment factories and thus lowered the cost of products. The devotion and research spirit of the members of the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians dispatched to different parts of the country are propelling the revitalization of the production at regional-industry factories. -0-
