3 Iranian fishing boats seized in Saudi Arabian territorial waters
Spokesman for Saudi Arabian Coastal Guards Muhammad bin Saad Al-Ghamdi said on Saturday that they have confiscated three Iranian boats in Saudi territorial waters in the Persian Gulf.
Nine fishermen have been arrested by the Saudi coastal guards, he said.
He said that the people on board the boats were fishermen who had entered Saudi territorial waters by mistake.
Iran and Saudi Arabia signed a security pact last year to increase level of security cooperation in the Persian Gulf region.
