Bahrain Participates in 22nd edition of Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore

Singapore, June 1 (BNA): Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, the Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, participated in the 22nd edition of the IISS Asia Security Summit: The Shangri-La Dialogue (SLD). The summit was attended by heads of state and government, ministers of defence, military leaders, and experts in defence, security, political, and strategic affairs.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ali underscored that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting all efforts that promote regional and international security and stability. He highlighted the importance of dialogue and the exchange of perspectives in addressing security challenges and strengthening strategic defence partnerships.
On the sidelines of the summit, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali met with Zaqy Mohamad, Senior Minister of State for Defence and Manpower, and Desmond Choo, Minister of State for Defence of Singapore.
The meetings reviewed Bahrain-Singapore relations efforts to further enhance cooperation, particularly in the defence and security sectors. They also discussed regional and international developments of mutual interest.
Shaikh Khalid bin Ali also met with K. Shanmugam, Coordinating Minister for National Security of Singapore.
The discussion focused on regional security developments and strategic coordination, in line with rapid changes and serving common interests.
