Under patronage of HM King, Commander-in-Chief attends BDF graduation ceremony

Manama, June 1 (BNA): Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Field Marshall Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), attended the 17th Joint Command and Staff Course graduation ceremony.
The Commander-in-Chief deputized Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of the BDF, to attend the graduation ceremony. Major General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and Lieutenant General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, the National Guard Staff Director, were present.
Major General Admiral Abdullah Saeed Al Mansouri, Commandant of the Royal College of Command and Staff and National Defence, delivered a speech on the occasion. A brief film was then shown, highlighting the stages of the course, which included lectures, discussions, practical exercises, and field visits to several national institutions. Subsequently, an officer delivered a speech on behalf of his fellow graduates, followed by a speech from the graduating officers representing participants from GCC countries.
Lt. Gen. Al Nuaimi delivered a speech congratulating the graduates, highlighting their achievements and dedication as part of the ongoing military journey under the continuous patronage of His Majesty the King and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister. Lt. Gen. Al Nuaimi also congratulated the officers from the armed forces of the GCC states who participated alongside their Bahraini counterparts, wishing them success, and conveyed the greetings and congratulations to the Commander-in-Chief for their continued success.
Lt. Gen. Al Nuaimi commended the outcome of the course, highlighting its focus on strategic planning, leadership and management development, military planning analysis, and joint operations with their defensive dimensions. He emphasised the graduates’ mastery of joint leadership concepts and their ability to operate in diverse, dynamic environments. Lt. Gen. Al Nuaimi described the Royal College of Command and Staff and National Defence as a premier academic and military institution pivotal in shaping leaders with strategic vision and advanced military thought. He thanked the academic staff for their dedication to developing this cohort of officers and nurturing their leadership and intellectual abilities, wishing them continued success.
The Chief of Staff then awarded Master’s degrees in Military Sciences to the graduates of the 17th Joint Command and Staff Course. The course included officers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Yemen, in addition to officers from the National Guard and the Ministry of Interior.
