Patient with multiple diseases, including H1N1 virus, dies in Ayutthaya
BANGKOK, July 11 (TNA) - A 45-year-old Thai man suffering from several diseases, including Influenza A(H1N1), died in hospital in the central province of Ayutthaya on Saturday, said Dr. Paichit Varachit, deputy permanent secretary for Public Health.
Dr. Paichit said the victim was admitted Monday with multiple indicators including high fever, pneumonia, high blood pressure, leptospirosis and had also contracted the Influenza A(H1N1) virus.
The actual cause of his death would be known in about one week as autopsy will be performed, Dr. Paichit added.
The ministry earlier Saturday announced that the number of Thailand’s Influenza A (H1N1) virus patients increased by another 157 persons, raising the cumulative total of those who had contracted the disease to 3,228. (TNA)
