Deputy Speaker of Parliament Discusses Regional And Int’l Developments With The Russian Ambassador

Baghdad/NINA/- First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi received at his guest house on Wednesday the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kotrashev, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, according to a statement from his media office, they discussed local developments, as well as developments in the regional and international arenas, in addition to discussing a number of topics and issues of common interest.

Al-Mandalawi stressed the depth of the relationship between the two friendly countries and peoples, and the need to develop it in various fields, particularly in the areas of security, energy, economy, and investment. He also emphasized strengthening parliamentary relations between the two parliamentary institutions, which would contribute to the exchange of legislative expertise and the consolidation of legal and diplomatic cooperation.

He called on major powers to pressure the Zionist entity to halt its crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people and contribute to achieving stability and security in the Middle East./ End
