Information Minister participates in Arab Media Summit 2025

Dubai, May 27 (BNA): Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, participated in a panel discussion titled Arab Information Ministers Dialogue, held as part of the Arab Media Forum within the Arab Media Summit 2025, in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Al Noaimi said Arab media is facing a defining moment in its evolution, shaped by technological shifts, most notably the emergence of artificial intelligence, which is reshaping the global media landscape and setting new standards for the industry.
The minister highlighted that media institutions must update their strategies to fully utilise advanced technologies. He underlined the need to use these tools effectively to deliver national messages that reflect Arab identity, values, and aspirations amid fast-changing regional and global challenges.
Dr. Al Noaimi emphasised the need for clear strategic direction, supported by serious institutional commitment, to drive meaningful transformation across Arab media. He highlighted the importance of developing integrated frameworks that leverage advanced tools to boost performance and competitiveness.
The minister noted the need for a shift in workforce capabilities, adding that upskilling media professionals to work effectively with AI tools will unlock new opportunities for creativity and innovation, and raise the quality of content produced.
Dr. Al Noaimi pointed to the importance of updating regulatory frameworks and introducing sustainable economic models that reflect the media sector’s close ties with other vital industries. He added that these measures are essential to support the long-term viability of media institutions and enable them to adapt to change.
The Arab Media Summit 2025 opened with broad participation from media leaders, policymakers, representatives of Arab and international media organisations, as well as academics, analysts, and technology experts. Over its three days, the summit is addressing key challenges and opportunities facing the media sector, particularly in light of accelerating digital transformation.
