SCH President receives Dr. Nasreen Al Sayed following regional IAS appointment

Manama, May 24 (BNA): Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH), received Dr. Nasreen Al Sayed, Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Lipid Disorders, following her appointment as President of the Africa and Middle East Federation of the International Atherosclerosis Society (IAS).
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mariam Hermes Al Hajri, Vice President of the Bahrain Diabetes Society.
Dr. Shaikh Mohammed congratulated Dr. Al Sayed on her appointment, expressing pride in her representation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in regional and international medical forums. He wished her success in her new role.
He also commended the International Atherosclerosis Society for its contribution to promoting public health awareness and advancing research in the field of atherosclerosis and lipid disorders. He highlighted SCH’s support for initiatives that help develop the health sector in Bahrain and the region.
On her part, Dr. Al Sayed expressed her appreciation to the SCH President for his continued support for the medical sector. She emphasised the IAS’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Bahrain in research and public health awareness related to cholesterol and atherosclerosis to achieve shared objectives.
