Four Expats Arrested for Fraudulent Hajj Campaigns, Harboring Violators in Makkah

   Makkah, May 22, 2025, SPA -- Security patrols in Makkah Region arrested four expatriates of Indonesian nationality for committing fraud by promoting fake and misleading Hajj campaigns on social media, falsely offering accommodation and transportation for pilgrims within the holy sites. They were also found promoting forged Nusuk Hajj cards and violating Hajj regulations by harboring 14 individuals without Hajj permits in a building.
   The individuals were detained, legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution. Those they had harbored were referred to the competent authorities to apply the prescribed penalties.
   The Public Security Directorate urges all citizens and residents to comply with Hajj regulations and to report any violations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region, or 999 in other areas of the Kingdom.
