Shura Council Speaker Holds Official Talks with Egyptian Parliament Speaker

   Cairo, May 19, 2025, SPA -- Shura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh held an official meeting with Egyptian House of Representatives Speaker Dr. Hanafy Gebaly at the parliament headquarters in Cairo during his official visit to Egypt.
   They reviewed the cooperative relations and ways to support and strengthen them, emphasizing the importance of activating the role of parliamentary friendship committees, in addition to discussing issues of mutual interest.
   Following the meeting, both sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Saudi Shura Council and the Egyptian House of Representatives to enhance cooperation in the parliamentary field.
   The MoU aims to establish a framework for enhancing cooperation and continuous engagement between the two sides. It includes encouraging the exchange of parliamentary delegation visits, forming working groups, fostering closer interaction among members of those groups to address parliamentary matters of mutual interest, and proposing mechanisms for sharing expertise and parliamentary studies.
