Finance Minister meets UK Investment Minister

Manama, May 15 (BNA): Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Baroness Poppy Gustafsson, Minister for Investment of the United Kingdom, to discuss means to strengthen economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, was present.

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa highlighted the strong and longstanding strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. He noted the continued development of cooperation, particularly in the financial, economic, and investment sectors. He also emphasised the shared commitment to further advancing relations in support of shared interests and development goals.

The two sides discussed the importance of advancing coordination and joint initiatives to achieve further progress that benefits both countries and their peoples.

Baroness Gustafsson was also briefed on the mechanisms used to monitor and analyse economic indicators in Bahrain, and how they are linked to development goals.
