Omani Higher Education Minister receives Bahraini Ambassador in Muscat

Muscat, May 15 (BNA): Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation of the Sultanate of Oman, received Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Oman.

The minister commended the bilateral relations between the two countries, notably in education, research and innovation, and expressed her hope for further cooperation in implementing the memorandum of understanding and the outcomes of the Bahrain-Oman Joint Committee.

Dr. Al Kaabi expressed interest in expanding the exchange of expertise and successful experiences in education, research and innovation, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to enhance integration between the two countries.

The meeting discussed means to activate the areas of cooperation outlined in the memorandum of understanding in the scientific and educational domains. It also addressed opportunities to develop joint work in innovation centres and technology transfer within higher education institutions. Both sides reviewed academic accreditation systems and the exchange of studies and research between higher education institutions in both countries.
