Council of Representatives Secretary General meets Indonesian House of Representatives Secretary General

Jakarta, May 15 (BNA): Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives and Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, met with Indra Iskandar, Secretary General of the Indonesian House of Representatives, on the sidelines of the 19th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States (PUIC), held in Indonesia.

The two sides emphasised strengthening bilateral cooperation between the respective secretariats, supported by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and Puan Maharani, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Indonesia.

The two sides also agreed to form joint working groups to follow up on cooperation in the fields of information technology, research, technical and administrative affairs, reciprocal visits, and virtual meetings. 

The initiative aims to enhance bilateral ties, benefit from mutual experiences in parliamentary and legislative work, and coordinate positions during the meetings of regional and international Secretaries-General associations.
