Saudi-Chinese Forum Sees Deals Signing to Enhance Date Industry

Riyadh, May 15, 2025, SPA -- Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley witnessed the signing of 14 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the National Centre for Palms and Dates, Chinese companies, and government entities. The agreements aim to expand the Kingdom's exports of dates and date-based products, thereby enhancing the global presence of Saudi dates.
The signing ceremony took place during the Saudi-Chinese Business Forum in Beijing, which focused on promoting the export of Saudi products and advancing agricultural sustainability.
According to the National Centre for Palms and Dates, the MoUs seek to foster collaboration between the centre, Saudi date companies, and Chinese partners to develop the Kingdom's palm and date sector. These agreements also aim to introduce cutting-edge technologies for increased production and improved marketing strategies.
