Industry Minister receives WIPO Deputy Director General

Manama, May 14 (BNA): Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, received Ambassador Hassan Kleib, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).

The minister emphasised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to enhance cooperation with United Nations organisations, particularly in intellectual property protection and innovation support.

The meeting also discussed future initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the importance of intellectual property in supporting innovation and economic growth.

On his part, Ambassador Kleib commended Bahrain’s efforts in promoting and supporting intellectual property.
