Urban Renewal Enhances Access, Environment in Madinah’s Central Area

   Madinah, May 14, 2025, SPA -- The central area of Madinah is defined by its distinctive architectural style and human-centered urban initiatives, which have enhanced its visual identity and improved pedestrian access to the Prophet's Mosque.
   These initiatives include expanding green spaces, paving roads, operating public transportation, and licensing electric vehicle and bicycle services to help reduce carbon emissions. They also focus on connecting historic neighborhoods to the mosque via pedestrian pathways, installing energy-efficient lighting, and designing routes that support safe, smooth movement for both pedestrians and light electric vehicles in densely populated spaces.
