Bahrain parliamentary delegation visits Indonesian Parliament

Jakarta, May 11 (BNA): Bahrain's parliamentary delegation, led by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, took part in an official parliamentary visit to the Indonesian Parliament on the sidelines of the 19th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC).

The Speaker emphasised that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, places high priority on joint Islamic cooperation. He emphasised Bahrain’s keenness to reinforce unity and solidarity within the Islamic world, particularly amid evolving geopolitical, economic and security challenges regionally and internationally.

He underlined the critical role of Islamic parliaments and legislative councils in advancing collective efforts, promoting contributions to security, stability and sustainable development, defending just causes, particularly the Palestinian cause, and developing Islamic coordination and convergence to align parliamentary visions and realise the aspirations of Islamic nations and peoples.

The Speaker also highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and Indonesia and a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in all domains.
