Shura Chairman meets Arab Parliament President

Rabat, Apr. 30 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, met with Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, on the sidelines of the South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum in Rabat.
The chairman expressed appreciation for the Arab Parliament’s key role in promoting joint parliamentary efforts and supporting Arab causes. He commended its continued work in regional and international forums to represent Arab peoples and address their aspirations.
Al Saleh highlighted ongoing cooperation with the Arab Parliament and support for its efforts to unify parliamentary positions and share expertise among Arab legislatures. He also praised Al Yamahi’s commitment to strengthening the Parliament’s institutions and advancing its reform agenda to serve Arab interests.
On his part, Al Yamahi commended the support provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain, through the Shura Council, in enhancing the presence of the Arab Parliament across various platforms.
Al Yamahi highlighted Al Saleh’s support in advancing the Arab Parliament’s mission and emphasised its role in addressing key issues relevant to Arab parliaments. He also noted the valuable contributions and constructive proposals made by Shura Council members during meetings and sessions, noting their impact on developing parliamentary mechanisms and enriching regional discussions.
The meeting was attended by Ejlal Isa Bubshait, member of the Shura Council, and Kareema Mohamed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council.
